Hello, everyone,
Well, the temperature has finally reached below the 100-degree mark, so it can only mean one thing, the cooler weather and picture perfect riding weather must surely be on the way!
Last month was another busy month for our Club. We had our Poker Ride which was one of the largest turnouts ever for any Poker Ride, no less for one that was hosted during the summer months! Thanks again to Nancy Alford and John Sparks for putting together this ride! Our Volunteers are also to be thanked for coming out, spending the day, and weathering the blistering heat! Thank you Richard Lichtenberger and Dick Stockmaster for tallying up the results of the ride. Congratulations to Lucy LeMay for being our lucky winner! Thank you members for coming out and supporting our Club!
We also had a wonderful turnout at our get together at the Horse and Hounds Restaurant! Thanks again to both Jan Cross and our members that made the evening quite a success! $86.00 was raised and contributed to the Horse Protection from the proceeds from Jan’s new book, “Screaming Ponies”. Way to go Sun Country Trail Blazers!
With the cooler weather now on its way, we look forward to seeing everyone returning to the trails.
